LANSING, Mich. — Senate Republican Leader Aric Nesbitt on Wednesday renewed his calls for bipartisan collaboration to best serve the people of Michigan as the Senate convened for its first session of the 103rd Legislature.
“The people of Michigan delivered a clear message in November — the radical far-left agenda of the previous two years is over — they demand real leadership and real solutions because they are facing real challenges,” said Nesbitt, R-Porter Township.
“Bipartisanship must be more than a buzzword in Lansing. The hardworking people of our state sent us here to help make our great state a better place to raise a family, operate a small business, and call home. It is essential that we work together to create policy that truly serves the taxpayers of this state and not just the tax-takers. We must listen to the voters who sent us here: it’s time to start putting Michigan first.”
