Michigan police chiefs honor Nesbitt as Legislator of the Year

LANSING, Mich. — Senate Republican Leader Aric Nesbitt last week was named Legislator of the Year by the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police for his continued strong support of law enforcement.

“While I am grateful to the police chiefs for this recognition, it is really our men and women in uniform and first responders who deserve all the thanks,” said Nesbitt, R-Porter Township. “These brave men and women are the ones who run into danger while everyone else runs away. They are the ones who are dedicated to keeping our communities safe at the risk of their own lives. They deserve elected leaders who have their backs.”
