LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Aric Nesbitt announced on Monday that he has received his Senate committee assignments for the 100th Legislature.

Nesbitt will serve as chair for both the standing Committee on Regulatory Reform and the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Appropriations Subcommittee. He will serve as vice chair for the Committee on Finance and will be a member of the Advice and Consent; Appropriations; Energy and Technology; Government Operations; and Insurance and Banking committees.

Nesbitt will also serve as Senate president pro tempore and lead the Senate in its day-to-day business.

“I am pleased with my assignments for the new term, which will enable me to advance solutions to help West Michigan families,” said Nesbitt, R-Lawton. “Expanding economic opportunities, lowering auto insurance rates and defending our values are my top priorities as we work through the committee process to achieve results.”
