Nesbitt earns perfect voting record for 2019

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Senate recorded 370 roll call votes in 2019, and Sen. Aric Nesbitt was in attendance to cast a vote on every one of them. The senator issued the following statement on Monday regarding his perfect voting record:

“I am both grateful and honored to have been chosen to be the people’s voice in the state Senate.

“I take this responsibility seriously and was sure to be present for each of the votes the Senate took in 2019. I am proud to have taken the lead in passing bipartisan legislation that will lower auto insurance rates and working to help stop the governor’s massive tax increases on drivers and small businesses.

“I remain committed to our west Michigan values and will continue supporting fiscal responsibility and policies that strengthen our economy, reduce red tape and government burdens and fund our roads.

“Hardworking men and women across my district and across Michigan are expected to be at work every day and they deserve the same dedication from those they entrusted to be their voice in government.”
